2011 Dennis proposes NEED ACT to create 7 Million Jobs

"We can put America back to work. We can rebuild America. We have the resources to do it, we just have to have the will to do it” -Dennis

2011 The Need Full Employment Jobs Act
In 2011, Dennis introduced the NEED Act, which stands for the National Emergency Employment Defense Act. It would save our nation hundreds of billions of dollars we are now giving to the big banks and instead use this money to create millions of jobs rebuilding the infrastructure in communities all across America. The NEED Act also puts our money supply under control of the U.S. Treasury.

In the aftermath of the 700 billion dollar bank bailout of 2008, which Dennis voted against, he has called for the Federal Reserve (which is not Federal and has no reserves) to be put under control of the US Treasury. Dennis has also called for the end of the current practice of outsourcing control of the money supply to private bank monopolies. Gaining control over the money supply would allow us to end being under the mercy of the big banks and instead create millions of urgently needed jobs.

We could put millions of people back to work by taking back the power from the banks who are crushing our country. I want to be your voice in Congress to create programs that put people back to work.

Where did Fed get $7.7 Trillion? They created it out of nothing!

Unlimited resources for the banks. Nothing for the American people.

10 million homes in jeopardy, 15 million out of work 50 million with no health care.

We Need the Need Act to regain control of our country.

HR 2990 National Emergency Employment Defense Act

Congressman Dennis Kucinich, a longtime advocate for reform of the Federal Reserve, is sharply criticizing the Federal Reserve today after Bloomberg news reported that the Federal Reserve secretly committed nearly $8 trillion in support to American and international financial institutions during the 2008 bailout. Kucinich recorded a video for his website before going to the floor of the House of Representatives to call upon Congress to reclaim its Constitution primacy over monetary policy.

Congressman Kucinich discusses his landmark proposal, the NEED ACT, to address our structural economic problems directly by creating over 7 million jobs.
The National Emergency Employment Defense (NEED) Act of 2011 would allow the federal government to directly fund badly-needed infrastructure repairs and fund education systems nationwide by spending money into circulation without increasing the national debt or causing inflation. The proposal would also establish fiscal integrity, reassert Congressional sovereignty and control of monetary policy from private banks.

We have plenty of money for wars, Wall Street and welfare for the wealthy, but no money to create jobs for the American people…We must reclaim our destiny by reclaiming control over the money system.
